Soo... last Friday was our last chance to go proselyting in São Paulo, and it was pretty awesome. Elder Powers and I had set a goal to let the Lord use us to find someone who would want to be baptized, so we thought it would probably be pretty hard. As we were walking, we saw a guy looking at our nametags, so we talked to him for a little while. He said he's actually read at least part of The Book of Mormon, and that it was a marvelous book. We told him that it was, testified that it was true, and asked him to be baptized. He said he would be, and we got his name and address and turned it into the CTM Presidente to have missionaries from São Paulo [like, who can speak Português] go to his house. Anyway, that was a rather neat experience. It might not be as marvelous at it sounds, because he might have been already talking with the missionaries or planning to be baptized [We couldn't understand everything he was saying], but it's exciting to see someone whose life the Book of Mormon has already affected, and it made me excited to go and serve for the next two years.

Here at the MTC you get little glimpses like that of how missionary work can be, or hear amazing talks, and it gets you really excited to get out and serve. A week from today I'll be in Brasilia, and I'm just a little bit excited about that. I'm not too nervous about the language or anything, because i don't have any huge expectations of being able to speak fluently next week, so I don't think i'll be too disappointed. I just plan to work as hard as I can and keep all the rules. If you find a loophole in a rule, you're looking at life with the wrong attitude. My theory is to read the mission handbook over until I have it down pretty well, and then just do everything remembering that I'm wearing a nametag saying that I'm an official representative of Jesus Christ. We'll see how that works out.

Alright, time's almost up. It's always really great to hear from you guys, and i'm so glad to hear things are going well. Be good, work hard, and have fun. Próxima semana: O campo!! Boa sorte e eu amo vocês!! Eric
